The Preston House and Hotel is a turn of the century 1905 historical home which has been restored and transformed into an 88 seat New American restaurant and 20 room boutique hotel. Located in downtown Riverhead on Long Island the house was once owned by Henry H. Preston the first salaried sheriff of Suffolk County. Ft. 40 guests for cocktails and passed hors d oeuvres Our cellar room wine lounge is perfect for social events and is comprised of the original stonework and concrete flooring of the house built in 1905. Overlooking the fireplace and a wine vault consisting of over 800 bottles -this classic and historic -one-of-a-kind space is perfect for happy hour -bites or after work drinks. We can accommodate up to 60 guests between both the 1905 Wine Lounge and the Mahogany and Stone Room when combining the two.

Featuring the original House 1891 barn doors -rich woodwork and 12 foot tufted banquet seating. For an extra special night a single large chefs table for up to 28 guests can be configured in the center of the room. This space is perfect for social events that enjoy the energy of a full size restaurant as it is right off the second dining room while still allowing for an intimate conversation between friends.

This private space is for guests looking to enjoy the vibrancy of the cellar but in a less crowded -intimate setting. The space is a jewel-box from the past outfitted with modern amenities.
